Aiko and Tibra Pacific finalize 58 MW supply contract for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s largest PV power plant

Aiko and Tibra Pacific have signed a contract for the supply of 58 MW for the largest photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking the final delivery needed to complete the project. The agreement specifies that the entire capacity will utilize Aiko’s highly efficient ABC Stellar modules, which boast an efficiency of over 23.9%. This contract continues the successful partnership between the two companies, following an earlier agreement for a 6 MW project, parts of which are already connected to the grid.

Originally planned for 104.5 MW, the project was to include 40.5 MW of TOPCon modules and 6 MW of Aiko ABC modules in its first phase. However, after a grid connection in early June, on-site measurements revealed that the Aiko modules generated 12% more solar power and reduced electricity costs by 3% compared to other products. As a result, Tibra Pacific opted to switch the remaining 58 MW to Aiko’s ABC Stellar series. The installation is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with the power plant slated to launch in the first quarter of next year.

Robert Brajkovic, Chairman of the Board of Tibra Pacific, explained that after extensive technological evaluations, Aiko’s modules were chosen for their superior efficiency and performance. His practical tests of Aiko modules at Intersolar, including assessments of partial shading and resistance to microcracks, reinforced his confidence in their quality. He also noted the strong support from Aiko’s CEO Chen Gang and the technical team throughout the project.
