The Slovenian Energy Agency adopted new electricity distribution fee for 2022 regulatory period, which is increased by 14.6 % as of 1 January.
However, electricity transmission fee remained at the same level as the year before. According to the Agency’s calculations, the increase means that the final electricity bill for average residential consumer with an annual consumption of 3,500 kWh will be increased by 1.88 euros per months or 22.5 euros for the entire year.
The reason for increased distribution fee is a drop in electricity consumption of 5 % in 2020 and 3 % drop in 2021, compared to projections. However, electricity consumption is expected to increase in 2022.
The majority of electricity suppliers in Slovenia have already increased their prices by around 10% for 2022.
