Serbia: SEEPEX to launch guarantees of origin market

Director of Serbian electricity exchange SEEPEX Dejan Stojcevski said that SEEPEX is planning to introduce guarantees of origin market by the end of the year. The establishment of the guarantees of origin market will be carried out through a project that will also involve software enhancements.

Integral parts of the project to introduce guarantees of origin at SEEPEX must also include power utility EPS and electricity transmission system operator EMS.

EPS is the largest producer of electricity from renewable sources and the largest owner of guarantees of origin in Serbia, while EMS is the issuer of guarantees of origin, which joined the European guarantees of origin platform AIB Hub in 2020.
