Serbia: SEEPEX day-ahead market sees November trading dip amid stable prices

In November 2025, a total of 466,713.6 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market at the Serbian energy exchange SEEPEX, marking an 8.8% decrease compared to October. This corresponds to an average of 15,557.1 MWh traded per day. Compared to November 2024, traded volumes were 5.6% lower.

The average daily base price on the day-ahead market in November reached 119.15 euros/MWh, reflecting a 3.6% decrease from the previous month, while the average euro-peak price rose slightly to 132.66 euros/MWh, up 1.9%.

SEEPEX, officially launched on 17 February 2016 with an initial traded volume of 1,925 MWh, is jointly owned by the Serbian electricity transmission system operator EMS and the European Power Exchange (EPEX SPOT). The platform aims to foster a competitive, transparent, and reliable electricity market in Serbia and Southeastern Europe and to significantly boost electricity trading volumes across the region. An intraday market was added in July 2023, further enhancing trading flexibility.
