The functional tests of block B3 of the Thermal Power Plant Kostolac are expected to begin before August, to carry out guarantee tests, which is the pre-condition for the new production capacity to be handed over to Power Utility EPS, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, said.
In the press release, the ministry says that Djedovic Handanovic said in Kostolac during her conversation with the president of CMEC, Fang Yanshui, and the visit to the block built by that company, that all the physical works on that structure of strategic importance for Serbia had been completed.
The minister said that there had been certain delays, that it was a big and complex project, built under difficult circumstances, but that it would be the safest and most modern one that EPS had, as it had been built in line with the most modern standards, including the most modern environmental protection standards.
