OMV Petrom is the largest and the most profitable company in southeastern Europe, according to 2022 financial results. OMV Petrom’s revenues more than doubled to 13.4 billion euros in 2022 and its net profit nearly quadrupled to 2.1 billion euros.
The company overthrew Hidroelectrica as the most profitable in the SEE region.
Other Romanian companies among the 100 largest in southeastern Europe are OMV Petrom Marketing, Automobile Dacia, Rompetrol Rafinare, Lidl (Romania), Rompetrol Downstream, Kaufland and Engie.
