Romania: Electrica launched a tender for a 12 MW solar power plant

Electricity supplier and distributor Electrica launched a tender for the construction of a 12 MW solar power plant in eastern Romania. The submission deadline is 27 July.

The project will be executed through a special purpose vehicle Green Energy Consultancy & Investments SRL. The project is currently in the ready-for-construction phase.

Electrica acquired the company that holds the rights to the 12 MW project in February this year as part of its strategy to expand its operations in the renewable energy generation sector. In March, Electrica bought Sunwind Energy, the developer of a 27 MW solar project in northwestern Romania.
