Romania, Competition Council has launched an investigation into the takeover of Ecoenergia and Alive Capital

The Romanian Competition Council said that it has launched an investigation into the takeover of Ecoenergia and Alive Capital by natural gas supplier and distributor Premier Energy.

Alive Capital will be acquired through the local subsidiary of Cyprus-based Premier Energy, while Ecoenergija will be acquired by the parent company.

Ecoenergia operates a 34.5 MW wind farm in Stejaru, Tulcea county, while Alive Capital is active on the Romanian electricity and gas markets as a producer, supplier and trader.
