Preparations for the biggest ecological project in Serbia, FGD project on TENT power plants

 

Opening of offers for the selection of consultant on the preparation of main tender for realization of the biggest ecological project on TENT power plants is expected on 1st November 2011. After that, contract signing is planed with selected consultant by end of the marh 2012. Upon the consultancy selection, mainĀ  tender preparation are starting, for the delivery of equipment and works on the flue gas desulphurization facility in power plant Nikola Tesla A and its 300mw units 3,4,5 and 6, announced Mr.Djordji Biljanovski Deputy Director of TENT.

He stated that as of 4th of November loan agreement signing is expected to be signed between JICA ( Japanese International Cooperation Agency) and Electric Power of Serbia(EPS). The total value of the loan is 250mil euros. The conditions of the loan are very favorable with interest rate of 0,6% and 15 years pay back time, including the grace period of 2 years.

Mr.Biljanovski also reminded that delegation from EPS visited Japan in September, as guest of JICA, for ten days training which included preparation for tender preparation and FGD project realization procedures and processes.

The training included certain specific segments of project management, specially financial aspects, but also tender procedures, environmental protection measures and procedures, documentation management and overall program management. Upon completion of the specialized trainings our delegation received JICA certificates.

With trainings we surely increased the capacity of our project implementation team to meet modern standards of project management, explained Mr.Biljanovski.
