North Macedonia’s OKTA lifts nine-month profit to more than 34 million euros

North Macedonian fuel supplier OKTA, owned by Greek energy group Hellenic Petroleum, reported net profit of 34.1 million euros for January-September 2026, compared with 7.3 million euros in the same period of 2025. The nine-month profit was approximately 4.7 times the year-earlier result.

Sales revenue reached 953 million euros, up 105% year on year, while expenses rose 101% to approximately 891 million euros. The increase in turnover was therefore accompanied by a similarly strong rise in costs. The revenue figure alone does not establish how much growth came from higher fuel volumes, pricing changes or changes in the sales mix.

OKTA is a major supplier in North Macedonia’s petroleum products market and has a significant regional commercial presence. Historical figures put its share of North Macedonian fuel needs at around 70% in 2023 and estimate its share of Kosovo’s market at 36% in 2022; neither is a current-year market-share estimate. The company owns the refinery site in Skopje, where stated installed capacity is 2.5 million tonnes.

OKTA’s role in fuel supply connects it to regional petroleum logistics, import pricing and wholesale distribution. Balkan oil-product markets are exposed to shifts in international product prices, freight and supply routes, as well as working-capital needs. Sustaining profitability will depend on how effectively the company manages those market pressures alongside its expanded turnover.
