In April this year the average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 62.94 euros/MWh, which is 14 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 55.02 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 63.63 euros/MWh in April, 11 % higher compared to March peak price. Traded volume in April reached 2.281 million MWh, which is 9 % more than in March (2.09 million MWh) and 11.4 % more than in April 2020 (2.05 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in April amounted to 80,612 MWh. Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 137,434 MWh in April 2021, which is 10 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 4,581 MWh.
