Greece: Juwi sells 267 MW solar portfolio to Foresight and Mirova

Juwi GmbH, a subsidiary of MVV Energie AG, has finalized an agreement with Foresight and Mirova for the sale of a 267 MW photovoltaic portfolio in Greece. As part of the deal, Juwi has been appointed as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contractor. Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2024, with commissioning expected in the first quarter of 2026.

The solar portfolio, acquired by Juwi Hellas in November 2023 from Hive Energy Ltd, consists of three clusters with capacities of 160 MW, 40 MW, and 67 MW. Located in the Fthiotida and Larissa regional units of Central Greece, the projects span approximately 430 hectares.

Juwi will oversee the technical design, procurement, and construction of the solar projects.

The PV systems will utilize around 430,000 bifacial solar modules, over 800 string inverters, and 16,000 single-axis tracker systems. The installations are projected to generate 515 million kilowatt-hours of green energy annually, sufficient to power more than 100,000 residents.
