Bulgaria: NPP Kozloduy’s profit reached 265 million euros

Nuclear power plant Kolzoduy recorded a net profit of 265.5 million euros in the first nine months of 2023, compared to a profit of 700 million euros in the same period last year, due to a big drop in revenues from electricity sales.

NPP Kozloduy’s electricity sales declined to 970 million euros in the January-September 2023 period from 2.6 billion euros in the same period of 2022. Expenses for hired services increased by an annual 13% to 74 million euros, while personnel costs rose by 17% to 102.5 million euros. Expenses for materials stood at 41 million euros.

Kozloduy’s total assets increased to 2.08 billion euros at the end of September from 2.06 billion euros at the end of 2022.
