Bulgaria’s state-owned natural gas provider Bulgargaz has chosen RWE Supply & Trading, a German energy company, to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) for June. The decision came after a competitive selection process that involved multiple bidders.
Earlier, on 15 May, Bulgargaz issued a call to identify companies eligible to take part in LNG supply tenders for the period from June 2025 to June 2026. As a result of this prequalification process, a list of 34 eligible suppliers was compiled.
Invitations to submit offers for delivery in June were sent to all companies on this shortlist on 2 June. Four suppliers responded with bids, and RWE Supply & Trading was selected as the preferred supplier for this delivery.
