Romania: EC Hunedoara’s assets transferred to Energy Ministry

Expert Insolventa, the judicial administrator of Energy Complex Hunedoara in insolvency proceedings, transferred company’s assets to the Ministry of Energy.

The transfer and the sale of thermal power plant Mintia in December 2022, represents the largest restructuring of a company of strategic importance carried out in Romania, with the continuity of activity and securing the majority of jobs.

The transfer value of the functional assets is over 200 million euros, according to the market value established in the insolvency procedure.
