The Government of the Republic of Srpska has extended its fuel discount programme until 15 July. The measure allows both consumers and businesses to continue buying fuel at reduced prices. The decision follows a scheme first introduced in April and is intended to ease cost pressures affecting the energy and transport sectors.
Discount terms for diesel and unleaded petrol
Under the programme, companies, sole proprietors, and private individuals receive a discount of €0.05 per liter on diesel fuel and unleaded petrol. The discount applies when purchasing at participating petrol stations. The measure is implemented uniformly across eligible fuel retail locations.
Programme rollout and participating network
The initiative began after a government decision on 1 April. Since then, it has been implemented through a network of fuel retailers across the entity. Officials say the scheme is designed to provide short-term relief amid fluctuating fuel price conditions.
Official data show that 45 fuel distributors are participating in the programme. Together, they cover 281 petrol stations. This network supports broad availability of discounted fuel across the region.

The latest government decision extends the programme for another month. Fuel prices remain under close monitoring by authorities as the scheme continues through the extended period. Further adjustments, according to officials, will depend on market developments and fiscal considerations.
