Croatia: Famous consulting firms in race for Krk island gas terminal advisory services

Eight bids were submitted on the tender for legal, business and financial advisors of LNG Croatia Company for assisting in the implementation of the gas terminal on Krk island.

Some offers are not satisfactory because the bank guarantee was not submitted, and all received documents will be evaluated in the next 30 days. The crucial will not be the offers financial weight but the expertise to do the job and references, and the contract is estimated at 1, 7 MEUR excluding VAT. According to unofficial information bids submitted Ernst & Young in conjunction with a lawyer’s house Divjak, Topic & Bahtijarevic, and this is the cheapest offer worth 1, 4 MEUR.

Also AT Kearney Savjetovanje, Intel and Hunton and Williams and Raiffeisenbank Austria savjetovanje, next is Boston Consulting together with BDO Savjetovanje and Hanzekovic sent their offers. Also Energy Institute Hrvoje Pozar in partnership with the American advisers Galway Energy and Price Waterhouse Coopers offer its services. Advisor should make a business model of the legal terminal construction, prepare tender documents and selection of strategic and financial investors and obtain approval for exemption in no longer than 560 days.

Also, advisory work will be consulting in the selection of service providers using the terminal and production agreement for the use of terminal services. Most of the work should be worked out in the first half of the year.
