Bulgaria: The average price on the IBEX day-ahead market in August amounted to 101.4 euros/MWh

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in August 2023 amounted to 101.35 euros/MWh, which is 5% higher compared to July (96.75 euros/MWh), while the average peak price was 96.33 euros/MWh.

2,184,951 MWh of electricity was traded in August, which is 4% less compared to the previous month. The average daily traded volume in August amounted to 70,482 MWh. Traded volume in August was 7% lower compared to the same month last year.

There were 111 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, one more than in the previous month.

On the intraday market, 204,942.6 MWh (+ 8%) was traded, with an average weighted price of 109.83 euros/MWh (+ 12%).
