Bosnia and Herzegovina, EBRD to provide 38.5 million euros loan to EPBiH

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said that it is considering providing a loan worth 38.5 million euros to Bosnian state-owned power utility EPBiH.

The statement from the bank said that the proceeds of the loan will be used to finance the project for the construction of two solar power plants Gracanica 1 and 2 in Bugojno municipality, with combined installed capacity of 50 MW.

In July 2022, EPBiH signed a 30-year concession agreement with the Government of Central Bosnia Canton for the construction of two solar power plant with combined installed capacity of 50 MW. The company will invest 30.7 million euros in the construction of solar power plants Gracanica 1 and Gracanica 2, which should be completed within 30 months.
