Albania: Electricity production reached 1.6 TWh in Q3

Electricity production in Albania in the third quarter reached 1,611 GWh, which is 17.5% higher compared to the same period last year, when it amounted to 1,371 GWh, according to the data published by the Albanian Institute of Statistics.

In the same period, Albanian electricity exports dropped by 32.5%, to 453 GWh, while electricity imports dropped by 33.9% to 755 GWh.

Albania produced 98.2% of its electricity in the third quarter in hydropower plants, while the remainder was produced by solar power plants.

Electricity network losses slightly decreased in the July -September 2023 period to 327.7 GWh from last year’s 327.9 MWh.
