Macedonia, Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in July 2021 amounted to 602,525 MWh

Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in July 2021 amounted to 602,525 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 34.82 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 354,361 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 109,198 tons.

According to the data from State Statistical Office, 81.4 % of electricity consumed in July was covered by domestic production, while 96.91 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.

Total net production of electricity in Macedonia in July 2021 stood at 464,271 MWh, which is by 3.5 % lower compared to the same month last year. 185,865 MWh or 40 % was produced at thermal power plants (+ 12.9 % compared to July 2020), 117,848 MWh or 25.4 % was produced at hydropower plants (- 19.4 %), 146,228 MWh or 31.5 % in CHP plants (- 4.7 %) and 7,363 MWh or 1.59 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.

Production at biogas power plants reached 4,264 MWh, while solar power plants produced 2,704 MWh of electricity in July.
