Hungary: Electricity trade on HUPX in December

In December 2020, on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX the average price of electricity amounted to 58.18 euros/MWh, which is 19.01 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 48.88 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 72.66 euros/MWh in December, 25.69 % higher compared to November peak price. Traded volume in December reached 2.05 million MWh, which is 3.36 % less than in November (2.12 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in December amounted to 66,036 MWh. The total value of transactions in December amounted to 120.47 million euros, which is 14.59 % higher than in the previous month (105.13 million euros).
