Bosnia and Herzegovina: HPP Visegrad sees decrease in September electricity production

HPP Visegrad, operated by the subsidiary of ERS “Hidroelektrane na Drini”, produced 24.59 GWh of electricity in September 2024, marking an 18.9% decrease from August’s generation of 30.33 GWh and down from 32.15 GWh in September 2023.

In total, the plant has generated 551.57 GWh in 2024 thus far, on track to contribute to its overall production of 1,224 GWh in 2023, a notable increase from 849 GWh in 2022.

Commissioned in 1989, HPP Visegrad has a power output of 315 MW (with three units of 105 MW each) and an average annual generation capacity of 1,010 GWh. Its record annual production was in 2010, reaching 1,283.05 GWh.
