Montenegro: HPP Perucica will be back online on September 15

Montenegrin power utility EPCG announces that the overhaul of hydropower plant Perucica is complete and the HPP is ready to return into operation on September 1, but the downtime will be extended until September 15.

This is due to a request from the regional waterworks company. It was requested that HPP Perucica remain out of operation until September 15 to keep the water flow in the Moraca river at its lowest level and ensure the measurement of water level parameters as part of the construction of a temporary embankment.

Taking into account the country’s energy balance and EPCG’s position in September, and considering society’s interest in resolving the water supply issue, a decision has been made to postpone the start of operations for HPP Perucica until September 15.
