Hungary, Helexia has completed the installation of the first three of its 20 rooftop solar systems

Helexia, a subsidiary of French renewable energy developer Voltalia, has completed the installation of the first three of its 20 rooftop solar systems with combined installed capacity of 25 MW it is building for retailer Auchan in Hungary.

Under the agreement with Auchan, Helaxia is responsible for the development, construction, financing and commissioning of rooftop solar system at 20 locations throughout the country. It estimates that it will completed the installation of solar panels at remaining 17 locations during 2023.

Once completed, the entire 25 MW solar portfolio should be able to generate 25.6 GWh of electricity per year, enough to cover the demand of some 20,000 households.

CEO of Voltalia Sebastien Clerc said that this is the first project under the global partnership with Auchan, which also includes investments in energy efficiency and corporate power purchase agreements (PPA).
