Romania, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the OPCOM amounted to 206.17 euros/MWh in October

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 206.17 euros/MWh in October 2022, which is 7.23 % higher compared to the same month in 2021 and 45.58 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 378.85 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in October reached 1.77 million MWh, which is 7.93 % less than in October 2021 and 2.31 % less than in September 2022. Average traded volume in October 2022 amounted to 2,379 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in October amounted to 379.6 million euros, which is by 0.22 % less compared to October last year (380.4 million euros) and 45.03 % less than in the previous month (690.5 million euros).

The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in October 2022 amounted to 44.26 %.

A total of 94,980 MWh was traded on intraday market in October (7.26 % less than in October 2021, and 3.03 % less compared to September 2022), with an average price of 230.21 euros/ MWh (10.01 % higher compared to October 2021 and 43.46 % lower compared to the previous month).

Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in October amounted to 1.546 million MWh, with an average price of 106.53 euros/ MWh.
