Slovenia, A total of 531,201 MWh of electricity was traded on BSP in August

A total of 531,201 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market on the Slovenian energy exchange BSP Southpool in August 2021, which is a 15 % decrease compared to the previous month, with an average of 17,136 MWh/day. Traded volume was 6.2 % higher compared to August 2020.

Average daily base price on day-ahead market in August amounted to 105.46 euros/MWh, which is a 12.5 % increase compared to July, while average euro-peak price reached 115.38 euros/ MWh (+ 15.9 %).

Regarding intraday auctions, a total of 129,275 MWh was traded on implicit intraday auction in August 2020, od which 88,820 on the continuous market (- 19.9 %), with an average price of 103.61 euros/MWh (MI2) and 118.61 euros/MWh (MI6).
