Serbia, Mining and Energy Ministry is planning to launch the first auctions to set up wind farms in the Q1 of 2023

“The ministry is actively working on creating conditions for new investments in renewable energy sources with plans to round off the regulatory framework in the first quarter of 2023 and publish the first public call for auctions for wind farms”, she said. Djedovic added that the ministry will adopt a three-year auction plan which will define the pace of development for the renewable energy industry.

The minister said that Serbia uses four times more energy than the European average to produce the same amount of GDP. She said that projects worth more than 920 million Euro are being implemented or drawn up which will bring savings of at least 950 Gwh a year and lower the amount of carbon dioxide by 580,000 tons, N1 reports.
