Romania: GES Furnizare approved as natural gas supplier

Simtel Team, a Romanian technology and engineering company, announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, GES Furnizare, has received approval from Romania’s national energy regulator (ANRE) to become a natural gas supplier. This gas supply permit is valid for five years. With this approval, GES Furnizare, which already holds an electricity supply license from earlier this year, will be able to offer integrated energy services to its current customers as well as other potential clients.

Simtel Team owns a 62% stake in GES Furnizare and has been expanding its energy services. In August, Simtel signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to supply green electricity from its newly finished Salonta solar park to GES Furnizare.

Founded in 2000, Simtel Team specializes in eco-engineering, industrial automation, telecommunications, electric mobility, and photovoltaic equipment. The company was listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) in 2021 and upgraded to the main market in August 2024.
