Romania: Dahai builds a solar panel factory, with a production capacity of 2,000 MW annually

Dahai Solar has started the construction of a photovoltaic panel factory in Calarasi, which is now waiting for the delivery of the assembly line, according to the information provided by the representatives of the Chinese company at the request of Economica.net. The plant will have a production capacity of 2,000 MW of photovoltaic panels per year, and the company says it will become operational this year, in “August-September”.

The factory will have around 150 employees, who will be recruited from Romania and several Eastern European countries.

“The target market for the delivery of the panels is represented by European countries. We chose Romania because of its huge potential for development and we hope to use Romania as a production and sales centre in Eastern Europe and to expand into Eastern European countries,” Dahar representatives . he said when asked by Economica.net to provide details about future customers and why they are building a factory here.

The investment in the factory in CălăraÅŸi amounts to 10 million euros, as the company representatives said. Monofacial, bifacial, TOPcon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact – an advanced technology essential for the efficiency and durability of solar panels), with a capacity of up to 690W, will be produced here.
