Romania, Average price of electricity on OPCOM amounted to 192.26 euros/MWh in October

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM amounted to 192.26 euros/MWh in October 2021, which is 358.57 % higher compared to the same month in 2020 and 43.6 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 133.89 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in October reached 1.925 million MWh, which is 2.96 % less than in October 2020, and 9.15 % more than in September 2021. Average traded volume in October 2021 amounted to 2,584 MWh/h.

The total value of transactions in October amounted to 380.41 million euros, which is by 344.44 % more compared to October last year (85.57 million euros) and 59.61 % more than in the previous month (238.34 million euros).

The share of day-ahead market in forecasted net consumption in October 2021 amounted to 40.92 %.

A total of 102,412.5 MWh was traded on intraday market in October (96.18 % more than in October 2020, and 1.22 % less compared to September 2021), with an average price of 194.07 euros/ MWh (369.83 % higher compared to October 2020 and 45.36 % higher compared to the previous month).

Total traded volume for bilateral contracts with delivery in October amounted to 1.305 million MWh, with an average price of 54.89 euros/MWh.
