Romania: Average OPCOM DAM price – 96.9 euros/MWh in July

The average base price of electricity on the day-ahead market of the Romanian energy exchange OPCOM decreased by 74% in July 2023 compared to the same month in 2022, to 96.84 euros/MWh in July 2023. That is 14% higher compared to June, when the average price amounted to 85.13 euros/MWh.

Traded volume in July reached 1.38 million MWh, 41% less than in July 2022 and 1% more than in June. The average traded volume in July 2023 amounted to 1,849.7 MWh/h. The total value of transactions in July amounted to 139.2 million euros, which is 84% less compared to July last year (888.8 million euros) and 16% more than in the previous month (119.6 million euros).
