Region, Spot prices from 126 to 207 euros per MWh on Friday

The average daily spot price of electricity in Southeast Europe, for delivery on Friday, January 6, 2023, ranged from EUR 126.38 per MWh in Slovenia to EUR 206.92 per MWh in Greece.

The Croatian, Bulgarian and Romanian day-ahead price was around 127 euros per MWh, while the Hungarian price was slightly higher – 128.2 euros per MWh. In these markets, the day-ahead price was reduced by about 8% compared to Thursday.

The spot price in Serbia recorded a minimal drop of less than 2%, to 133.84 euros per MWh on Friday.

The Greek market is once again the most expensive in the region and in the whole of Europe, despite a drop of about 3% compared to Thursday and is the only European market that exceeds the price threshold of 200 euros per MWh. A similar situation was recorded in the previous three days.

The lowest price in Europe on Friday was recorded in Poland – 100.9 euros per MWh.
