North Macedonia: Production of electricity in June

According to the data from State Statistical Office, 75.3 % of the consumed electricity in June was covered by domestic production, while 94.6 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production. Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in June 2020 amounted to 477,863 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 18.29 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 294,530 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 83,355 tons. Total net production of electricity in North Macedonia in June 2020 stood at 340,846 MWh, which is 21.8 % lower compared to the same month last year. 131,563 MWh or 38.6 % was produced at thermal power plants (- 40.3 % compared to June 2019), 119,574 MWh or 35.1 % was produced at hydro-power plants (+ 32.4 %), 71,936 MWh or 21.1 % in CHP plants and 10,554 MWh or 3.1 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
