Montenegro: Second phase distribution system reconstruction tender

A tender for the second phase of the revitalization of Montenegrin electricity distribution system was launched by Montenegrin electricity distribution system operator CEDIS.

The tender entails works on the construction of substations and the works on low-voltage installations. Total value of the works is estimated to 19.8 million euros, without VAT. The deadline for the submission of bids is 11 February. The first phase of the project was completed in mid-December. Some 14 million euros were invested in the first phase, which included the reconstruction of 420 kilometers of low-voltage transmission lines and 210 substation, as well as the replacement of some 4,000 electricity poles. The project was launched last March. In late 2018, CEDIS signed a contract worth 22.4 million euros for the overhaul of its low and mid-voltage electricity network. The contract was signed with a consortium of local companies Mezon, Electro Team and Ramel and should take up to 24 months to be completed.
