Montenegro: New CEO at CEDIS

A series of management dismissals in the state-owned energy sector followed the change of power on the Montenegrin political scene in late 2020. Last month, state-owned power utility EPCG appointed Milutin Djukanovic as the new President of the Board of Directors and Nikola Rovcanin as the company’s new CEO.

The Board of Directors of Montenegrin electricity distribution system operator CEDIS dismissed the former CEO Zoran Djukanovic and appointed Vladimir Cadjenovic as the new CEO.

In June 2016, CEDIS separated from EPCG, since when it has been operating as an independent legal entity with a license to perform the activities of the electricity distribution system operator. The main activities of CEDIS are: distribution of electricity, construction and maintenance of distribution facilities and networks. CEDIS distributes electricity to about 414,000 consumers in Montenegro.
