Hungary: The average price on HUPX DAM reached 85.7 euros/MWh in January

The average price on the day-ahead market of the Hungarian electricity exchange HUPX amounted to 85.73 euros/MWh in January 2024, which is 5% higher compared to December 2023 (81.72 euros/MWh). In the same period, the average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 96.55 euros/MWh (-3%).

Traded volume on the day ahead market reached 2.62 million MWh, the same as in December (2.61 million MWh) and 4% less than in January 2023 (2.74 million MWh). The average daily traded volume amounted to 84,365 MWh.

Total traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 687,958 MWh in January 2024, which is 4% more compared to the previous month. The average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 22,192 MWh.

The average price for the hourly product amounted to 91.25 euros/MWh.
