Hungary: Average price on HUPX day-ahead market reached 81.7 euros/MWh in December

The average electricity price on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX reached 81.72 euros/MWh in December, 18% lower compared to November (99.38 euros/MWh). Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 99.83 euros/MWh, 4% lower compared to November. 

Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.61 million MWh, 9% more compared to November (2.4 million MWh) and 34.5% more than in December 2022 (1.94 million MWh).

Average daily traded volume in December amounted to 84,233 MWh. Total traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 662,347 MWh, which is 3% more compared to the previous month. 

Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 21,366 MWh. Average price for the hourly product reached 86.29 euros/MWh in December, 21% less compared to the previous month.
