Hungary: Average price on HUPX DAM 285.6 euros per MWh in March

According to the report of the Hungarian electricity exchange operator HUPX for March 2022, the total volume of trade on the spot market amounted to 2.751 million MWh, which is 9% less than the previous month (3.037 million MWh in February 2022).

The volume of trade on the day-ahead market in March amounted to 2.345 million MWh, 15% less than in February.

The average price for the base load on HUPX DAM was 285.58 euros per MWh, which is 47% more than in the previous month.

The average price for peak load on a monthly basis increased by 40%, to 291.96 euros per MWh in March.

The highest price per hour realized in March was 700 euros per MWh, and the lowest 11.77 euros per MWh.

The average daily volume of trade for base load (01-24 h) on DAM in March 2022 was 75,652 MWh.

The total volume of intra-day trading (IDM) in March was 406,753 MWh, 32% more than in February (307,397 MWh).

The average daily trading volume on IDM increased by 20% on a monthly basis, to 13,121 MWh, according to the HUPX monthly report.
