Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the HUPX amounted to 194.27 euros/MWh in February

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 194.27 euros/MWh in February 2022, which is 5 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 204.77 euros/MWh.

Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 208.54 euros/MWh in February, 10 % lower compared to January peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.76 million MWh, which is 1 % more than in January 2022 (2.74 million MWh) and 51.6 % more than in February 2021 (1.95 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in February amounted to 98,568 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 307,397 MWh in February 2022, which is 4 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 10,978 MWh.
