Greece: Mirova acquires JUWI’s 156 MW clover solar portfolio

JUWI has reached an agreement to transfer ownership of a group of solar projects with a combined installed capacity of 156 MW in northwestern Greece to Mirova, the Paris-based sustainable investment firm affiliated with Natixis Investment Managers. The deal represents another significant milestone in JUWI’s expanding pipeline of large-scale solar developments in the country.

Despite the ownership transfer, JUWI will remain closely involved in the projects through its subsidiary JUWI Hellas, which will serve as the EPC contractor and provide full operations and maintenance services for all four sites. The assets, collectively referred to as the Clover portfolio, are located across the regions of Kozani and Grevena. Together, the planned solar parks will span approximately 257 hectares and feature 243,500 bifacial panels, more than 480 string inverters, and around 9,100 single-axis trackers.

Groundworks and installation activities are set to begin in November. Once fully operational, the portfolio is expected to produce more than 300 GWh of renewable electricity annually, enough to supply over 75,000 residents. The transaction extends JUWI’s series of high-profile deals in the Greek market, following last year’s sale of the 267 MW Hive portfolio to Foresight and Mirova. According to JUWI Hellas managing director Takis Sarris, the company has executed over 500 million euros in M&A transactions over the past five years, reinforcing its position as one of Greece’s leading developers and EPC providers in the utility-scale solar sector.
