Europe: Wind energy production decreased in week 17

According to AleaSoft Energy Forecasting, in the week of April 22, wind energy production decreased in most major European markets compared to the previous week, reversing the upward trend of the previous week. Declines ranged from 4.8% in the Spanish market to 39% in the German market. Out of the analyzed markets, only the Portuguese market registered an increase in wind energy generation, for the second consecutive week, this time by 24%. 

In the week of April 29, according to wind energy production forecasts, it will increase in Germany and Italy. However, it will decrease in the Iberian Peninsula and France, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting reports.
