The solar projects is a part of 216 projects submitted by various companies for a total renewable energy capacity of 5.953 GW to the Ministry in response to its public tender.

Croatian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development is planning to launch the country’s first large-scale premium-based RES auction in the third quarter of the year. Initially the first RES auction was announced for the fall of 2021, but it was postponed without providing reasons for the delay.

The first premium-based RES auction, albeit for small-scale projects, was held in early 2021.
