Bulgaria, Production of electricity in September decreased by 10.1 % compared to August

According to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, production of electricity in September 2022 decreased by 10.1 %, compared to August, to 3,708 GWh, while consumption of electricity also dropped by 9.2 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,336 GWh. Consumption of natural gas in September 2022 increased by 2.2 % and amounted to 139 million cubic meters, while its production remained the same and amounted to 1 million cubic meters.

Compared to September 2021, production of electricity decreased by 7.5 %, while its consumption dropped by 2.5 %. Consumption of natural gas decreased by 32.5 % compared to September 2021, while its production dropped by 50 %.

In September, production of unleaded petrol fell by 37.9 % and amounted to 100,000 tons, while its consumption increased by 13 % and amounted to 52,000 tons. Production of diesel in September decreased by 14.5 % and amounted to 278,000 tons, while its consumption decreased by 17.4 % and amounted to 20,000 tons.

Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dropped by 6.7 % and amounted to 42,000 tons, while its production also dropped by 27.3 % and amounted to 8,000 tons. In the same period, production of solid fuels increased by 17.4 % to 2,883 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource also rose by 17.1 % to 2,863 thousand tons.
