Bulgaria, Production of electricity in July 2021 increased by 18.9 %, compared to June

According to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, production of electricity in July 2021 increased by 18.9 %, compared to June, to 3,834 GWh, while consumption of electricity rose by 9.8 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,771 GWh. Consumption of natural gas in July 2021 increased by 12.6 % and amounted to 259 million cubic meters, while its production remained the same and amounted to 2 million cubic meters.

Compared to July 2020, production of electricity increased by 14.5 %, while its consumption rose by 7.2 %. Consumption of natural gas increased by 51.5 % compared to July 2020, while its production dropped by 50 %.

In July, production of unleaded petrol decreased by 8 % and amounted to 121,000 tons, while its consumption increased by 11.1 % and amounted to 50,000 tons. Production of diesel in July decreased by 5.4 % compared to the previous month and amounted to 211,000 tons, while its consumption increased by 31.4 % and amounted to 251,000 tons.

Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) remained the same and amounted to 35,000 tons, while its production increased by 33.3 % and amounted to 6,000 tons. In the same period, production of solid fuels increased by 97.7 % to 1,977 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource also rose by 96.8 % to 2,062 thousand tons.
