Bulgaria, Malex Management has requested the approval for the acquisition of Helios Projects

Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) said local investment company Malex Management has requested the approval for the acquisition, through its majority-owned unit Helios Energy Invest, of an indirect shareholding interest in local solar power plant operator Helios Projects.

The statement from the Commission said that the transaction is expected to affect the local markets for production of and trade in electricity, as a company that is part of the Malex Management group is active on the respective market.

Helios Energy Invest was recently established by Malex Management with the purpose of acquiring Helios Projects.

Bulgarian Helios Projects is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Switzerland-based H1 Venture Swiss Holding, which operates 50 MW solar power plant in Pobeda, near Pleven.
