Bulgaria, IBEX has recorded a new record high price for electricity on its day-ahead market

The independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) has recorded a new record high price for electricity on its day-ahead market. For the price for the delivery day of 18 November amounted to 252.96 euros/MWh.

The new record was set only a day after the previous. Namely, for the delivery day of 17 November, the day-ahead price reached 247.9 euros/MWh.

The Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) has forecasted that the average price between 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2022 would be 60.8 euros/MWh. However, since the start of October, the average price rose to 193 euros/ MWh.

IBEX was established in 2014 and it is a wholly- owned subsidiary of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, which acquired the company in 2017.
