Bulgaria, Bulgargaz has revised its proposal for the wholesale natural gas price to be applied in August 2022

Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has revised its proposal for the wholesale natural gas price to be applied in August 2022, by further increasing the price.

The statement from the company said that the price for August should be around 152.3 euros/ MWh, which is 60 % higher compared to the price approved for July – 95.2 euros/MWh, which was an increase of 31.7 % compared to June.

The price of gas for the month of August on the European markets is at 171 euros/MWh.

In mid-July, Bulgargaz proposed the price of 146.6 euros/MWh for August.

Public supplier Bulgargaz proposes the new wholesale gas price each month, which has to be approved by the energy regulator KEVR.
