Bulgaria, Bulgargaz has launched a tender for the purchase natural gas

Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz announced that it has launched a tender for the purchase natural gas to be delivered via pipelines in the 14-month period from November 2022 till the end of 2023.

The statement from the company said that it would buy no less than 3 million MW hog natural gas (plus-minus 5 %), which roughly translates to 284 million cubic meters. Purchased gas will be supplied to the Bulgarian virtual trading point (VTP) or existing entry points to the national gas network.

Offers must not come from companies from countries on which any kind of sanctions are currently imposed. The offer price must take into account the mean difference between the daily buy and sell prices of the commodity on the Front Month index on the European TTF gas futures exchange. There must be a discount of at least 40 euros/MWh.

The deadline for the submission of bids is 4 October, after which five best offers will progress into second round. Second round bids are expected to be submitted by 10 October.

Bulgargaz said that it is prepared to pay in advance for half the amount of gas to be delivered.
