Bulgaria, A total of 2,125,499 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent in September

A total of 2,125,499 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in September 2022, which is 9.5 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in September amounted to 70,850 MWh. Traded volume in September 2022 was 4.1 % lower compared to the same month last year.

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in September amounted to 376.06 euros/ MWh, which is 13.1 % lower compared to August (432.85 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 396.55 euros/MWh (- 8.2 %). There were a total of 94 registered participants on the IBEX day -ahead market, two more compared to the previous month.

Regarding intraday market, a total of 113,076.5 MWh (+ 18.1 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 384.71 euros/MWh (- 15.3 %).
